Dashboard overview and diagnostics

Introduction and orientation

Understand status messages and check campaigns and devices.

Steps and settings

What the dashboard shows

The dashboard brings together campaign states, today's activity, campaign problems, presentation and application layer usage, device problems and cloud storage. It is intended for quick operational checks followed by opening the details of a specific item.

Campaign problems

If nothing is wrong, the system says no problems were detected. A concrete issue such as campaign not assigned to any device means the campaign exists but currently has no playback target, for example after a device was removed, reinstalled or replaced.

Device problems

Disconnected from server means the server has no connection to the device; first check power and internet. Application version outdated means the device client is older and may not support newer functionality, so an update is recommended.

Use the Dashboard as the starting point for diagnostics

When troubleshooting, do not start by opening settings at random. Use the Dashboard as your routing point. In Server Edition, you can first review the global state and then move to a particular Company.

  1. First determine whether the warning belongs to a campaign or a device.
  2. For a campaign, check target assignment, capacity and publication status.
  3. For a device, check its online status and client application version.
  4. Only then open the specific campaign or device and address the cause.
  5. After the fix, verify that the issue disappears from the Dashboard after synchronization.

In practice: “campaign is not assigned” is solved in campaign targeting; “device disconnected” starts with power and internet checks; “application version outdated” leads to a device client update.
