What a device is

A device is a specific player or screen assigned to a Company and a Location. Its detail view lets you configure screen behaviour, check published content and monitor operation. It contains the Information, Published campaigns, Published applications, Commands and Monitoring tabs; the published content options depend on the enabled layers.

Where a device belongs

Company → Location → Device. A Company can contain multiple Locations and devices; each Location can group one or more devices.

A device follows the rules of its Company and inherits settings from its Location, such as opening hours, Application Layer branding and an active emergency scenario. Individual settings, including resolution, orientation, sound and the mouse cursor, are configured in the device detail view.
