Your ScreenSoft account

Account-level settings that define how ScreenSoft works for your organisation.

In the standard ScreenSoft service, your customer account is represented by a Company. ScreenSoft creates it during onboarding; locations, devices, users, applications, campaigns and other parts of your ScreenSoft environment then belong to this account.

What is a Company?

A Company is the foundation of a ScreenSoft environment. It contains your locations, devices, users, applications, campaigns and other parts of the account. When the Company is created, we work with you to set the basic rules for how ScreenSoft will work.

These settings are not merely administrative – they also affect content planning, which visuals are offered, and the campaign creation wizard.

One of the first decisions when creating a Company is how ScreenSoft will plan advertising space.

Advertising playback mode: SLOT or IMPRESSION?
ScreenSoft supports two ways of planning advertising space. SLOT works with fixed space in the advertising loop, while IMPRESSION plans according to a required number of impressions. We choose the suitable mode together according to how you will use ScreenSoft. Compare SLOT and IMPRESSION →

What Company settings affect

Enable commercial campaigns

Determines whether you will also use ScreenSoft to sell advertising space. When commercial campaigns are disabled, ScreenSoft simplifies the campaign creation wizard and hides options that are needed only for selling commercial advertising. When enabled, campaigns follow the selected playback mode – for example, you can define space in the loop (SLOT) or a required number of impressions (IMPRESSION).

Automatically create a non-commercial campaign for each commercial campaign

Determines whether the Non-commercial option is enabled by default when creating a new commercial campaign. ScreenSoft will then preconfigure each new campaign based on your usual workflow. You can change this option for an individual campaign.

Visual aspect ratio

By default, ScreenSoft offers only visuals that match the required or allowed alternative aspect ratio. Unsuitable content is not offered during selection. You can disable this restriction with Ignore visual aspect ratio.

Visual duration

ScreenSoft can also check visual duration against the requirements of the configured playback. Unsuitable visuals are then not offered. You can disable this check with Ignore visual duration.

Selected settings can be changed later

After the Company is created, you can continue to adjust its regular settings as your use of ScreenSoft evolves.

Changing the SLOT / IMPRESSION mode is an exception

We set the SLOT / IMPRESSION playback mode together when the Company is created. These modes use different methods for planning and calculating advertising campaign playback. The selected mode therefore determines the core logic ScreenSoft uses to plan and play advertising campaigns across the entire Company. As long as no campaign has been created in the Company, the mode can still be changed. Once the first campaign has been created, the mode can no longer be changed.
