Media
The central library for images and videos used by campaigns, applications and branding. Basic visual adjustments can be made directly in ScreenSoft, without sending every format change to a designer.
Add media
- Open Media from the navigation.
- Click the + button in the lower-right corner.
- Select the media type you want to add.
- Choose the file in your operating system dialog. It appears in the media library after upload.
Media detail
Open a media item to see its detail. For an image, ScreenSoft shows the preview, name, type, file size, resolution and aspect ratio. The right side also shows whether and where the media item is currently used, which is especially useful before deleting it.
Edit an image directly in ScreenSoft
Use the pencil icon to open the Visual editor. You can change the visual name and target resolution (width and height), then choose how the image should fit the display resolution.
- Fill – stretches the visual to fill the display resolution without cropping.
- Fit – preserves the aspect ratio; empty or black bars may remain when the formats differ.
- Crop – fills the target format by cropping from the center; part of the image may fall outside the final frame.
Edit a video
Video offers the same name, resolution and fitting options as an image. In addition, you can set the Duration in seconds.
- If the selected duration is shorter than the original video, playback stops at the selected time and the remainder is not used.
- If the selected duration is longer, the final frame remains visible until the configured duration ends.
Search and filtering
Search the media library by name and filter by type or orientation. The media detail is the starting point for checking, editing or deleting an item.
Why a media item cannot be deleted
If a media item is used by a campaign, application or another part of the system, first check its usage in the media detail. Remove or change that dependency before deleting the file.
Storage
Cloud storage usage is visible in the Media area and on the dashboard, including consumed and remaining capacity.
Video conversion
After a video is uploaded, ScreenSoft automatically converts the media to the format and codecs required by the system so that it is ready for reliable playback on supported devices. The entire process is automatic – the user does not need to start or configure the conversion. Processing usually takes only a few minutes, depending on the video length and file size.
In Media → video detail, the Conversion status shows whether conversion is waiting, currently running, or already Converted. The detail also shows technical information such as duration, file size, resolution, aspect ratio, upload time and conversion completion time. Depending on the processed media, items such as Video, Frame and Preview are also available.
