Storage and capacity
Introduction and orientation
Check used space, unused media and files in the trash.
Overview and explanation
Understanding the storage overview
Media share cloud storage at Company level; each user does not have a separate allowance. In the version described, the media library uses a limit of 10 GB (10,000,000,000 bytes). Files in the trash still count towards total usage. Cloud storage capacity is separate from the player’s local disk capacity.
- Media in use: Files used in the Company’s content.
- Unused media: Active files not currently used in the Company’s content.
- In the trash: Deleted items still included in the storage usage calculation.
- Total in use: Total space counted for this Company, including the trash.
- Remains available: The difference between the library limit and total usage.
If space is running low, check media usage first. Remove any references to a file before deleting it. Discuss options for additional storage with your software provider.
