Content distribution and offline operation
How changes travel from the server to devices, why updates do not interrupt playback, and what happens without internet.
From a saved change to the device
When a user creates or changes a campaign, application, visual or targeting, the server receives the change, determines which devices are affected and sends each device the required instructions: download, update, remove or stop using content.
Background synchronization
Existing playback continues while new content downloads. A very subtle, few-pixel-high activity indicator appears at the bottom of the screen. It is not a 0–100% progress bar; it signals synchronization to administrators.
Offline operation
Content is stored locally. If internet connectivity is lost, the device continues playing the last valid local content. It simply cannot receive new server instructions until connectivity returns.
Dynamic visuals are evaluated locally
The device downloads all required dynamic variants and evaluates conditions such as time, day, temperature or weather locally immediately before the campaign plays.
