Web Page
Open a website or specific subpage as a controlled ScreenSoft kiosk application.
What it is and why to use it
Web Page embeds a site directly in the Application Layer, from news sites to local services or custom mall maps.
When to use it
Use it when the customer already has a web service and does not need to recreate that content in ScreenSoft.
Visitor experience
The visitor opens and uses the website on screen. It can also be the device’s fullscreen default application after touching the Presentation Layer.
What the administrator configures and sees
The administrator configures URL, icon, vertical scroll or PC mode, default zoom, maximum page resolution and external-link restrictions. Links outside the allowed domain can be blocked.
Create and configure
- Create Web Page.
- Enter the exact URL/subpage.
- Configure icon and browsing mode.
- Set zoom/resolution options as needed.
- Configure external-site blocking and allowed targets.
- For fullscreen use, configure it as the default application and implement required Browser Embedded Functions.
Publishing and operation
When ScreenSoft controls are hidden in fullscreen mode, the embedded site must provide its own navigation and return controls.
Scheduled publication
This application can be prepared in advance with a publication period defining when it should become available on the screen and when its publication should end. Outside the configured period it is not shown on the target device.
The application can therefore be created and configured ahead of time, with visitor availability starting and ending automatically according to the configured schedule, similarly to campaigns.
