Image

A simple application that opens a specific image or poster from the Application Layer.

What it is and why to use it

Image exposes one visual asset as an application item.

When to use it

For example, a city can create “Circus is coming” and attach the event poster.

Visitor experience

The visitor opens the item and sees the image, then returns through kiosk navigation.

What the administrator configures and sees

The administrator selects an image, names the application and publishes it.

You do not need a designer for routine format changes. Open the Visual editor in Media to change the target resolution and choose Fill, Fit or Crop.

Prepare the media

The image can be selected from the existing media library or uploaded as a new file. Before publication, check its resolution and aspect ratio against the target screen.

For common format adjustments, a new file does not have to be prepared by a designer. In Media → Visual Editor, you can change the target resolution and choose Fill, Fit or Crop.

Create and configure

  1. Create Image.
  2. Choose/upload the image.
  3. Give the application a clear name.
  4. Save and publish.

Publishing and operation

Unlike a campaign visual, this is content the visitor actively opens in the Application Layer.

Scheduled publication

This application can be prepared in advance with a publication period defining when it should become available on the screen and when its publication should end. Outside the configured period it is not shown on the target device.

The application can therefore be created and configured ahead of time, with visitor availability starting and ending automatically according to the configured schedule, similarly to campaigns.
