How the advertising loop works
The advertising loop follows the playback mode configured for the company. Choose SLOT or IMPRESSION to see the exact planning logic.
Choose the playback mode
ScreenSoft sets one playback mode when the Company is created. The mode determines which of the two planning algorithms below is used.
Fixed slots in the loop (SLOT)
A loop with a fixed number of slots and a fixed duration per slot. Commercial campaigns reserve slots; remaining capacity is filled with suitable non-commercial content or the Default Visual.
Number of impressions (IMPRESSION)
Commercial campaigns request a number of plays per hour. ScreenSoft distributes those plays across a 3,600-second media space and fills the gaps with suitable non-commercial content or the Default Visual.
Interactive content and the advertising plan
The advertising loop determines scheduled playback. A visitor may interact with an application for longer than the advertising item lasts: for example, a 10-second item can trigger a 27-second game.
Before using games alongside paid advertising, test activation, return to playback and report records. SLOT and IMPRESSION schedule advertising space; neither mode itself determines interaction duration.
