Overview and explanation
Licences
Licence administration is a system super-admin function rather than a normal customer workflow.
Hardware
The system records tested/supported hardware models and their capabilities. Simple Full HD advertising playback may use lower-cost hardware, while UHD, camera, AR or games can require more powerful devices. The tested features and capabilities of individual models are recorded internally.
Application approval
Super administrators control which servers or Companies can access an application. Standard apps may be global; a custom RSS app can be enabled only for the relevant customer. The same model can support future paid/premium applications. In future, this level of administration may also be made available to white-label server administrators.
Translations
New UI strings are machine-translated through translation APIs and then validated and approved by super administrators for language, terminology and consistency with the system context.
