RSS configuration in administration

Purpose

RSS configuration connects an external feed to a specific ScreenSoft RSS application/template, for example a municipal notice board or event calendar.

Workflow

1. Prepare the feed according to the ScreenSoft RSS specification.
2. Create the source connection in RSS configuration.
3. Prepare/enable the RSS application or template for the relevant Company.
4. Publish it to target devices.
5. ScreenSoft continuously synchronizes source changes into the template.

Synchronization

GUID and change metadata are used to distinguish new, updated and removed items. The administrator therefore does not need to re-enter each item manually.
